Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

• Your contact details — your first name and email address, given during the questionnaire or at checkout.
• The memories you tell us — your answers about the animal: their name, their habits, the scenes you describe. This is the heart of the order, and it is free text: only put in it what you are happy to share with us.
• Photos — the ones you upload to the memorial page, and the ones the people you invite add with their message.
• Messages left by others — their first name, their message, their photo if they attach one, and their IP address, kept to limit abuse of the form.
• Payment data — processed directly by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.
• Usage data — pages viewed, clicks, referrer, UTM parameters, browser and device type, to measure and improve the site.

2. How we use it

• To write the lyrics and compose the song from your memories, and from nothing else.
• To build the memorial page and publish the song, the lyrics and the photos on it.
• To send you the link to the song, the follow-up emails and your receipt.
• To answer your questions and handle refunds.
• To measure how the site and our advertising perform.

3. The services we use

Four providers process part of the data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Anthropic — the memories you tell us are sent to it to write the lyrics. It is the only place your free text leaves our servers in that form.
• Suno — receives the finished lyrics and the animal's name to compose and record the music. Your contact details are never sent to it.
• Stripe — takes the payment and returns the confirmation to us.
• Hostinger — hosts the server and the domain mailbox.

We load no third-party measurement scripts on this site: no advertising pixel, no external analytics tool. Audience measurement is done by our own code, and the data stays on our server.

4. The memorial page

Your animal's page is private when it is created: only you can reach it, through a link carrying your token. It becomes viewable only on the day you open it yourself.

Once open, anyone you give the link to can see it and leave a message and a photo. It is never indexed by search engines. You can ask us to close it or delete it at any time.

5. Cookies

We set two first-party cookies: one identifies your browser for thirteen months, the other groups the pages of a single visit and expires after thirty minutes of inactivity. They are used for audience measurement and to find your order again if you come back.

The order journey also keeps your answers in your browser's session storage while the song is being written. They disappear when you close the tab.

You can clear these cookies from your browser settings.

6. Retention and your rights

We keep your order, its files and its page for as long as the memorial page exists: that is the point of the product, it is made to last. Usage data is kept for thirteen months.

You can ask at any time to access your data, to correct it, or to erase it — including deleting the page and the song entirely. Write to us and we will do it.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, in particular under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
